Workshop Weekend with Jesica Cutler & John Miller
Tango CLT is thrilled to host Jesica and John again in 2026!
Hailing from Denver, Colorado, Jesica and John are two of the most beloved and respected tango instructors in the country. Their playful and creative approach to tango has inspired us at Tango CLT ever since Sarah and Matt first saw them dance together at a festival. Their teaching is known for its clarity, warmth, and deep insight. We are so happy to be hosting them again in 2026!
We will be offering two tracks of three classes each: a “Giro Track,” and an “Adornment Track.”
The Giro Track focuses on that most essential of tango moves, the giro, or molinete. If your giro technique is good, all of tango’s advanced vocabulary will unlock for you!
Meanwhile the Adornment Track will add many wonderful creative possibilities to your dancing! Adornments are not often taught, and we are very excited to learn them from master teachers John & Jesica!
The tracks are informal. You can still take whatever classes you want or have time for! But we do suggest that if you take the giro track, try to take the classes in order because the material in that track builds sequentially over three classes.

Giros For Pros (G)
The giro, or molinete, is THE move to master in tango. Truly, your tango is only as good as your giro, and every advanced move in tango comes out of this move. Now is your chance to learn from the very best how to do this essential step, which will set you up beautifully for advanced vocabulary in the future!

Jesica Cutler & John Miller Workshop Weekend
John Miller and Jesica Cutler have been teaching tango together since 2013 and in that time have developed a style that is fun, connected, and precise.
They have taught and performed at numerous festivals across North America, including the Boulder Tango Festival, Salt Lake City Tango Festival, Windy City Tango Festival, Tango on the Rocks, and many more.
Their primary influences have been Gustavo Naveira and Giselle Anne, Chicho Frumboli and Juana Sepulveda, Nick Jones, and old videos of Juan Carlos Copes and Maria Nieves.

Wednesday, November 6 - Tango Wednesday Takeover! Liz & Yannick will teach both the intro lesson and the beginner/intermediate lesson that follows it. They will also DJ this practica and perform! The topic of the beginner/intermediate lesson will be: Intro To The Giro. This will be a great class for beginners but also for more experienced dancers as Liz & Yannick will build on the concepts in this class in the workshops to come. The format will be the same as any Tango Wednesday: Intro lesson @ 7 PM. Beg/Int lesson @ 7:45 PM. Social dancing from 8:45 PM - 11 PM. $20 for class(es) & practica; $15 for practica alone.
