Liz & Yannick Vanhove I am currently studying with these two fabulous dancers online through their Patreon (click on the photo for the link), focusing mainly on solo technique. Yes, you *can* learn tango, and learn it well, online! They have the most comprehensive, sequenced curriculum I have ever seen. Check them out!
Karen Jaffe & Tate DiChiazza When not under quarantine, I study with Karen Jaffe, a tango instuctor based in Asheville, NC and Tate DiChiazza, a tanguero based in Buenos Aires. Click on the first picture to visit Karen's website, and click on the second picture to visit Tate's website.
When I travel to Buenos Aires, this is where I stay and study. La Maleva is a wonderful tango bed-and-breakfast that is also a tango school with a full staff of excellent instructors, a great dance floor, and classes and/or practicas every day of the week. I always feel so welcomed here, it is a well-respected school even among local dancers, and I can't wait until I can return. Click the link on the photo to visit the website.
"No One Knows What Is Going To Happen" by Mark Lilla published in the New York Times on May 24, 2020. A compelling article delving into the limits of our ability to predict the future and offering an alternative in which we take responsibility for ourselves to create, as best as we are able, the reality we want, rather than relying on others to predict the future for us.
